Two Quilts This Week

Hi All

Well I'm excited, I got my first comment today. Thank you very much.

The first quilt done this week was from a customer, Julie, she has two I need to do for her but this one was needed this week. It is a birthday gift for a family member next week and the binding still has to be done.

Anyway, i was very happy how it turned out. The Pantograph we chose just fitted in nicely with the blocks....

Next one is an applique with lovely fairies for a clients daughter. This is her first quilt that has taken a little while to do she told me, but has managed to do other quilts in between appliquing. I'm not sure if I have done enough quilting for her, I will find out this week.

Here is look at a project I'm working on to teach, when I get it done. Hopefully around Easter. It uses up scraps and will be for the caravan "Bluebell". I am doing a theme of quilts this year for the caravan using up my scrap stash - lol.

Have a good week everyone.

Welcome to my 1st post

Gosh, a blank screen...

Welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. Where do I start.

As my blog suggests I am a quilter and it is my passion. I hope to share my quilts and misadventures with quilts with you. I have topics going around in my head and am not sure where to start.

At the moment I am finishing the binding on my last quilt. This is called Mists and Shadows. I used Moda Layer Cakes from the Evening Mist range and a classic block with an extra step. This makes the quilt look harder than it really is. I hope to teach this quilt at The Patchwork Angel this term.

I am a Longarm quilter and enjoy quilting for other people, but the down side is that I have a large collection of tops needing to be quilted. I hope to get these done throughout the year and to show you pictures along the way. This means my UFO/WIP list is not accurate at this stage. I will correct it as I find them all, and there are enough.

The Photos on my flickrstream are from my recent trip to Houston Quilt show. WOW. If you have the opportunity to go - GO!!

My family and I have just had our christmas camping trip to a waterskiing dam about 1hour from us. We had a great time even though we got rained on everyday.

I know this is all very random but I will try to improve along the way, please be patient and I hope to reward you with quilting pictures.

Take Care

Happy Stitching
