A day at the races

Kart racing that is!  It's cold and slightly overcast, so I packed the essentials in my vintage bag. A thermos of hot water, coffee, hot chocolate, umbrella, heat packs for the pockets and the bag of kit jar chocolates. Now to do some stitching between races.

My son, Josh, is doing some great lap. times so far today

Should be a nice family day out

I am finally get a chance to sew on the Featherweight. A little getting used to, the foot pedal is sticky, job for Michael tonight.
Very happy though. I am piecing snowball blocks in blues, white, cream and tans. Only have to do about 304 squares with 1216 corners. I will have done in an hour. Ha

Rain rain

We have had so much rain in past few days that this creek is flowing so quickly. It is normally just a trickle. I pass this creek on my walks , but today I could hear it way before seeing it. The water flows under the road and into what is now a large pond that looks so lovely but would have a strong current underneath. Not good.
